On 25th May 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force.

The aim of the GDPR is to protect all EU citizens from privacy and data breaches and it applies to all companies processing and holding the personal data of data subjects residing in the European Union, in the context of selling goods or services, regardless of the company’s location and irrespective as to whether or not the UK retains the GDPR post-Brexit.

This is the most important change in data privacy regulation in 20 years, if your business has not already started working towards compliance, you need to start now – fines of up to 4% of annual global turnover or €20 Million can be applied for breaching GDPR.
