New mobile phone laws came into force on 30th March 2017 meaning you can now get 6 penalty points and a £200 fine if you use a hand-held phone whilst driving.

According to the official guidance, it’s illegal to use your phone while driving or riding a motorcycle unless you have hands-free access, such as a bluetooth headset, voice command or a dashboard holder.

These days there’s really no need to communicate via the traditional mouth and ear piece, with the broad range of Bluetooth enabled headsets available, particularly when many of them can offer much more than you probably realise, such as incorporating the presence capabilities of Skype for Business, for example..
