There is nothing we like more at Corona than getting dolled up to the nines and heading out with our colleagues. Last Friday a group of Corona employees enjoyed a glamorous day at the King George VI weekend at Royal Ascot.
This year’s King George Weekend celebrated past winners of the feature race from decades gone by since the meeting first took place in 1951. This was reflected on Ascot’s famous Lawns as they were transformed with colourful theming, entertainment and food to represent the different eras and their celebrated horses.
Rick Downing, Service Manager, said about the day:
Our journey to Ascot was via coach, from our head office in London Victoria, and there our entertainment started with a driver who clearly has never driven in deepest South West London.
Upon arrival we were greeted with Champagne, followed by a private box and an excelled lunch that continued with waiter service for refreshments all afternoon, some of which did find itself onto the coach for the trip home…
It was great to see that everyone who attended participated in having a flutter and clearly we do have a few members of the team who purchase the “Racing Post” on a regular basis.
From the photo’s you will see that everyone looked very glam on the day and did themselves proud. I will refrain from any feedback for the trip home, it was loud, there was singing and clearly everyone had a great time.
