Following on from our interview with Steve Jordan in April, our ‘Meet the Team’ series, where we get to know a member of the Corona team each month, continues with Jon Reynolds, one of the Field Service Engineers in our Print Management division.
“Hi, I’m Jon Reynolds. I have been married for nearly 24 years to Jo, who runs her own gardening and landscaping business.
I have 3 children. Jack is 19 and a student, Aimee is 17 and is currently doing an apprenticeship in hair and beauty. Harry is 11 and is in his first year at ‘BIG’ school.
I also have a dog, a cat and a goldfish!
I’ve worked as a copier engineer since leaving college, starting work as a trainee at my first company in 1987 where I stayed for 7 years. I spent 1 year at a trade company before joining Copylogic, now Corona, in 1994.
The photo is one of my family together at the same time which is a rare thing.
Favourite singers / groups – I’m into a real mixture of music from 60’s Soul through 70’s Punk, 80’s Electro 90’s Britpop, 00’s Rap and current day rock. I’ve started listening to David Bowie again and also play a lot of the Kaiser chiefs and Foo Fighters. In the car I tend to listen to comedy podcasts such as Richard Herrings Leicester square theatre podcast (RHLSTP) and Pappys flatshare slamdown.
Favourite Songs / Albums – My Favourite songs are ‘Oh you pretty thing’ by David Bowie and ‘Many rivers to cross’ by Jimmy Cliff. I enjoy concept albums such as ‘A grand don’t come for free’ by the Streets and ‘The Defamation of Strickland Banks’ by Plan B.
Favourite Films – Shawshank Redemption is probably on the majority of people’s favourite film lists. Also love Pulp fiction, The Hurt Locker, Groundhog Day and The Blues Brothers.
Favourite actor / actress – Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins and Meryl Streep.
Favourite TV shows – I love watching comedy shows particularly Taskmaster. I’ve also started watching ‘The last man on earth’.
Favourite Holiday destination – Left the UK for the first time in 15 years when I went to Malta for a few days with my best mate. Otherwise we spend a lot of time in West Dorset visiting my brother or Torquay in Devon.
Favourite Drink – Kopparberg fruit cider. Discovered Kiwi and Lime Old Mout cider at a friend’s birthday drink then found out the next day that I was allergic to Kiwi. Gutted…
Favourite Food – I love a Sunday Roast particularly Lamb or Chicken. Quick snack has got to be a cheese toastie with marmite.
Favourite Books / Authors – I don’t get chance to read a huge amount but I enjoy Dan Brown, Andy McNab and Stephen King. The last books I read were the Hunger games trilogy.
Favourite animal – I have a Rough Collie/ Border Collie cross called Jaz and a black cat called Frazzle. I can’t pick a favourite as one of them will get upset. I’ve got a goldfish as well but he/she was never in the running to be favourite.
Since Corona acquired Copylogic last year I have been really pleased with how things have progressed, particularly the additional training I’ve received. The engineers are a great bunch of guys who are always keen to share their knowledge and assist – we’re a real team”.
