Football brings people together in a way no other sport can, it encourages team spirit and community and at Corona nothing is more important to us than community. That’s why when we were approached by one of our local contractors, Churchill’s Storage & Refurbishments to ask if we would make a donation towards the Stevenage borough under 15s Girls Football team to make their dream of competing in The Dallas International Girls Cup in Texas we were more than happy to.

This fantastic opportunity to attend a week long tournament in April with 130 of the most competitive teams from all around the world has only be offered to two teams in the UK and for Stevenage borough to be selected over RTC clubs, centre of excellence clubs and ACC is a privilege and an opportunity the girls simply cannot allow to pass by.

The squad of 17 young female footballers all aged between 14 and 15 years old who are brought together from various local schools, have certainly enjoyed their share of success over the past three seasons, winning a hat-trick of division one titles, back to back league titles and county cup crowns.

The tournament offers the girls a unique chance to shine in a game that is notoriously hard for women to progress in, not only will it be a dream come true to play state-side but the future possibilities for the girls are incredible with scouts in attendance from hundreds of colleges and potential scholarships up for grabs.

The girls have not yet reached their target of £30,000 yet. If you wish to donate, please see the link below to their Go Fund Me page.

We’re sure they’ll have no trouble achieving their target and wish them every success at the tournament.
